I didn’t know Mr. T pityed fool’s that weren’t woke, but that’s awesome. #respect

“I think about my father being called ‘boy’, my uncle being called ‘boy’, my brother, coming back from Vietnam and being called ‘boy’. So I questioned myself: “What does a black man have to do before he’s given the respect as a man?” So when I was 18 years old, when I was old enough to fight and die for my country, old enough to drink, old enough to vote, I said I was old enough to be called a man. I self-ordained myself Mr. T so the first word out of everybody’s mouth is “Mr.” That’s a sign of respect that my father didn’t get, that my brother didn’t get, that my mother didn’t get.“

-Mr. T on the subject of his name

I had no idea he put this much thought into this wow

I wonder why we dont hear about this…

Do you ever think about the fact that Ed’s entire life goal almost hinged on whether or not he’d be able to pass the state alchemist test, and yet when he actually got to the test he decided to demonstratively try to assassinate the president

controversial opinion that shouldn’t be controversial:

ceos of corporations who willingly let people die, along with anyone else involved in the process, should be jailed, not fined.

a preventable industrial disaster that kills workers while the company is aware of the possible damage beforehand should result in prison.

that is murder, plain and simple. a cost-benefit analysis calculating murder. a crime against humanity.

there’s no reason someone stealing food should be jailed while a wealthy individual knowingly killing people is let off the hook with a fine that hardly affects profits at all.

first post i’ve made where everyone agrees.

THE ACTUAL NEWS

image

I read an interview with this guy (who is a real news anchor), and he said he told his acting agent that he is ONLY interested in parts where he plays a new anchor. This is no coincidence. This is by design.

what is his plan

Yeah, I still have no idea what this dude’s name is – *cue BoJack scene where esteemed character actress Margo Martindale throws a literal grenade on behalf of character actors living in lucrative obscurity* – but I read that very same article awhile back. I am so damn curious about Dude’s reasons.

Apparently he started as an actual local news guy, and was teaching broadcasting classes. He did demo reels with students and some casting person liked him a lot and so put him in… I forget his first one, but yeah. It’s a running thing for him.
